Volume density calculation: The amount of aluminum powder depends on the volume density of aerated concrete products. When using the same mass of aluminum powder, the greater the volume density of the product, the smaller the amount of aluminum powder. The gas production of aluminum powder can be calculated by the following formula:

Among them, 2 grams of pure metal aluminum can produce 3 grams of hydrogen.
Porous volume calculation: The volume of aerated concrete can be simplified into two parts: the absolute volume of the basic component materials and the pore volume formed after the aluminum powder is gasified. The amount of aluminum powder can be calculated by the pore volume:

Wherein, (m_{\text{aluminum}}) is the amount of aluminum powder per unit product (g/m³), (V_2) is the theoretical gas production of aluminum at pouring temperature (l/g), and (K) is the active aluminum content.
Adjustment based on practical experience
Adjustment in actual production: Due to changes in factors such as temperature and slurry consistency during the production process, it is neither possible nor necessary to determine the amount of aluminum powder through theoretical calculation. Usually, factories select based on experience in practice and adjust at any time. Common dosage: When producing 600 kg/m³ aerated concrete, aluminum powder paste is usually added at a ratio of 8/10,000 of dry material.
Testing items and standards
Main testing items: including aluminum content testing, particle size distribution testing, moisture content testing, alumina content testing and impurity content testing. These testing items directly affect the gas emission volume and gas emission speed of aluminum powder paste, thereby affecting the performance and quality of the final product.
Testing instruments: Commonly used testing instruments include X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF), laser particle size analyzer, moisture meter and gas emission speed meter. These instruments can quickly and accurately measure the various indicators of aluminum powder paste to ensure that its composition and performance meet production requirements.
